The thing i dont get about this thread is that people are getting upset thinking others are bashing ace. I dont think people are bashing ace material quality or craftsmanship. However, i think that the attachment method is open for questioning. Attacking people for questioning that seems ridiculous to me.

They are not bad rails for what they are. They flex a little, not necessarily due to being bolted down, but the thickness of the metal that is being held on by the bolt. Id guess it is maybe 16 guage at the attachment point. If they would use a thicker metal you would have a lot less flex in the rail. But then, they would cost a lot more. I was actually going to gusset them in a few areas to improve strength.

Theres lots of posts missing from this thread due to stupidity... Someone reading from the start is gonna be lost, and not get the humor.

That's the best part of "threads gone bad"

I'll catch them up here:

-Rock sliders are a vital piece of kit for offroading if you want to prevent body damage.
-ACE sliders are great
-ACE products are made in America
-ACE bolt on sliders can be made better by adding stock rubi rails to the combo
-EVO rails will not cause damage to your "B" pillar, ever.
-ACE has loyal customers
-Wayolife is mean
-chryslerchris quit the forum
-Some other sliders like nemesis, LoD, Poison Spyder are also good choices
-Wayolife has lost potentially 1000 members by knowing facts, so he could have had 74,184 members instead of 73,184
-some members get way to into this forum stuff
-Wayolife likes Saturday Night Fever apparently
-Me, Wayolife and Mel Wade wear big boy pants or we are in the fat boys club, something to that affect

There, that should clear things up, now back to the ANGER!
