Default 8 killed in southern california desert race.

This hits home for alot of us here at ORW and our customers, family's, and friends. We will be accepting donations for the family's and matching amounts donated. Please take a minute to think about how much fun our hobbies are and how quickly things can go south.

A potent reminder. Very very sorry for everyone who lost their life or lost a loved one. I hope this doesn't negatively impact the sport, though. People have a right to take risks. Sometimes that results in a catastrophic failure. Still, doesn't mean the government needs to save us from ourselves.

It's indeed sad that folks lost their lives out there. I hate to say this over such a tragedy, but sometimes a little think power goes a long way. Watching the actual video, people are practically right ontop of the track and with little kids none-the-less?

yah really, you would never do that on a paved track where the driver has more control(race tires and pavement).

but on a dirt track(with bumps that turn into jumps) completely way safer.

oh and I really hope they don't compare what we do to racing through the desert at 100+ mph
