No, you can't feel any heat given off from the beam. Or from the unit itself. In fact, I let it run for over an hour last night and there was no noticable difference to the touch in it heating up.

Sunburn? I don't know about that, but didn't Tom Clancy have characters in one of his novels bring down an airplane by using bright lights? I think we know what lights, now!

WOW!!! That thing is amazing! Very cool! Can't wait to see it mounted on your rig. $1600 is a too pricey for me, but if the price comes down to something reasonable for me I'll be looking at that for sure. That's awesome!

While looking (for the 3rd time) at these pictures, the chorus from an 80's song popped into my head: "My future's so bright, I've got to wear shades."

I think we're seeing the future here, and boy is it bright!

I went and made the mounting bracket out of 6061 aluminum. I milled out the contour of the roof rack bar, put some mounting holes and then made some counterbore holes for cap-head screws to mount to the Wild Boar rack. This setup is STURDY!!!

Anyways... here is is, all mounted up and working. I will post some beamshots with the XMitter and HID's tonight!

If your JK doesn't have a nickname yet, I officially dub it the "Sun King."

It may be fitting.

Same drill as before. Manual mode, 1/5 of a second at F5.6, 1250 ISO.

Here are the stock high beams:

Here is the XMitter bar:

I will get a shot of the XMitter and the HID's working together tomorrow or the next day.
