Am i correct in assuming that if you have tires over 33" that the mpg on your computer or what you've calculated in your head the old fashioned way is incorrect unless you've had your rpms calibrated? That would make a lot of these posts invalid Anyone know the answer?

That shouldn't make a difference....if I drive 300 miles and it takes 15 gallons to fill the tank back up, that's 20MPG....I don't see where the tire size/gears would matter. If it takes 15 gallons to drive 300 miles, it takes 15 gallons to drive 300 miles...regardless of tire size.
If you are basing it on GPS data, or something else, then yeah, the accuracy is the same.

def. makes a difference. Check out this guys formula. search for the thread below:
Larger tires = more miles indicated?
Dr.Mc ninja is right. If you are basing the information on incorrect data then you have useless info. Try multiplying your mileage by 1.187 to see your real mileage. Obviously disregard this if you are using gps.

I know that there is a small difference, but it's not enough to worry about unless you're running 35's or larger....and if you've got tires that big, you're obviously not worried about MPG anyway.

I can't tell you for sure what my gas milage per tank is as I don't let it get below 1/2 tank.....I average 19 to 21 depending on the type of week I have...leaving a few minutes late makes me put the pedal to the metal...or leaving early makes me just cruisse and let the school bus in front of me stop an d go as I just slow down...so BTW how many gallons did you use in your 400 mile trek??...
