This weekend I am getting my 3rd windshield installed on my one year old JK-

Ice, and rocks from the highway being the destroyer of glass-

None of my previous Jeeps ate windshields like this one does...Im starting to wonder if I should ask them to put it in with a zipper.....

 

welcome im on number 6 in two years it sucks im almost ready to buy the lexan one they have. 198.00 a window =no good.

 

I am going to now, only replace it for my inspections...its getting tiresome.

I think however, - if a Lexan window were legit, I would opt for that.

 

just replaced mine this week.....logging truck threw some debris into mine.... their insurance paid though... my insurance company twisted their arm... go figure, a good insurance company

 

i am on my third windshield...i hit a small bird and it cracked like if it was a hammer..

 

How about 1 hour of taking it off the dealership an bam crak # 1

 

I had a pheasant hit my windshield when i was driving south of Syracuse NY.....70 mph....no crack (just a whole bunch of bird parts all over my windsheld).

Driving down the road at 45 a small stone kicked up from a (gag) caravan, CRACK!

I have USAA for insurance, great company....but I dont file the glass claims thanks to my ex gf who backed into a BMW and smashed the front end (didnt hurt the Rubi) ...I am keeping the claims to a minimum.

 

 

Lift it higher! Rocks only kick up so high

 

I too am on my third windshield with the latest coming as a result of a pheasant hitting the JK. Shattered the glass and put a dent in the metal too!

Got a Mopar replacement and now whistles like hell - ah, the ongoing quality issues with Jeep - just fantastic
