So when I remove my doors, they usually end up stood up in my garage with a folded cardboard box, tarp or mat underneath them. But it got me wondering - how do YOU store your doors once they're off? Do you hang em? Carry them with you? Take them off on the fly? Do tell... and include pics!

X2..... my gargage had to be redesigned... I have a bunch of cabinets with camping gear, bike rack, etc... and I had to redesign it to store the top and now the doors.... My ceiling needs to be 3-4' higher...
so far I'm doing the same as you are, just making sure they are protected..

I put mine in my living room, no garage. Sometimes I even slide them in the space between a chair and table to save some space, and keep people coming in the front door from tripping on them.

I currently hang mine on hooks I mounted to the side of a sturdy shelving unit I built, but space is pretty tight in my garage. I was thinking of building a wooden, two tiered box, where the doors would lay flat, and then use ceiling-mounted bicycle hoists to raise the box to the ceiling. Similar to what some guys are doing with their hard tops.

Mine go in the basement. I only have a carport and leaving them in the open like that doesn't seem like the best idea. I should probably see if my condo association actually allows me to put brackets in my carport. Then I could put them there and figure out a way to lock them.

Don't have pictures now, but i built a hanging rack for the hard top. The doors or freedom panels will fit under the top. That's the way it was planned anyway. Right now there are coolers and lawn chairs under the top now.

I have a 2x4 bolted to he wall of my garage and the doors are hanging from 4 heavy duty screw in brackets. 2 through each door. Seems to work ok so far. I think each bracket holds 50 pounds.
