Well, I planned on holding out for a JKUS in Commando Green, with black and then white being back up colors.

Any updates on when Dune is available to order?

I remember reading that the Dune will replace Crush (or Dozer) and available late model year (spring). Sadly I don't remember where I read it, but I would have dismissed it if I didn't think it was a reliable source. Without siting it though, my post is basically a rumor.

This source says Dune will be available soon, and will replace Gecko.
Gecko Green stops in mid-December, replaced by Dune (tan/light brown).

Notice is says Crush and Dozer should not be able to order anymore, but you still can.

I really think the Rugged Brown would look good if it is anything like the Dakar concept Jeep a few years back. Here is a video on YouTube showing the possible Furious Fuchsia rumor. Not so sure about that one, but I'm sure it would appeal to someone.

Here is a picture of the 2013 Dune color. AEV posted them on their Facebook page today. I'd have to see one in person, but I think it looks good.
