IIRC, I read something that it is late availability and will be replacing Crush (might have been Dozer, but was one of those colors). It was off of some official Chrysler or GM press release, but sadly since I don't remember where it was that I read it I cannot prove my accuracy of source.

I hate running on speculation, but since were off on a grand start, let me add my two cents here:
I'm willing to bet that IS the dune color. Standing with the owner of a Jeep dealership on Monday, he said he was in Detroit and "that new God aweful color they got going looks like the military's sand color".

Rugged Brown makes an appearance?
Here's a JK8 done by VWerks. Given their new deal with Mopar, the rumors for a rugged brown JK, and color comparison it looks like VWerks went ahead and used the color early. Looks great on a NASTY JK8, can't wait to order a new JKU in this color!
