Default 2012 Wrangler rear end wants to "roll"

When in a turn on the highway and I hit a bump, (like the transition to a bridge or overpass) it feels like the rear of the jeep hops or wants to roll. Hope this makes sense. 2.5 inch lift, 20 inch wheels and 33 tires. Any ideas? Rear sway bar worn out? Alignment?

Thanks all.

What geometry correction do you have in the rear? It sounds like you are due for an axle side track bar bracket to raise that roll center.

Anything on the jeep change recently? Has this lift been on for a while? 33s on 20" wheels doesn't have a lot of cushion, paired with some stiff gas shocks maybe? I can see going over a bump and feeling like it's got a little hop to it. Do you have a raised rear TB bracket like Karl highlights?

No correction on the rear. Actually trying to decide what lift if any is on the jeep now.

Lift has been on it since I got the jeep. Nothing has changed and this has gone on since I bought it. You are right on the little hop, that's what it feels like. I don't have a raised TB bracket on the rear, and trying to determine if there really is a lift now. Not sure where to measure the coils from.

Here's the factory measurements up front -

If you take some pictures, we can help identify a few things. If you have a lift on that, you're going to benefit from a raised TB bracket on the rear axle. They're pretty cheap and easy to throw on.

Thanks, I will take some pics this evening and post. Looking at this pic, I don't think I have a lift.

Here are the pics. The air bag in the rear is not inflated on either side.

12.5 inches. Shock measures 19.5 inches.

Air bag not inflated.

man, that suspension is a bit of a mess. looks like you're getting little over 3" of lift. That is an old Synergy DL in flipped position with a raised TB bracket up front. Those look like factory shocks and someone has just used extensions so they aren't mounting down in the original axle-side shock brackets. Factory control arms and likely no caster correction but can't see in the pics if it has cam bolts in the axle. Appears to be factory ball joint in the pic too. Looks like factory springs with spacers in there.....not normal for that kind of height.

Yes, you'd benefit from a raised TB bracket in the rear.....but really you kind have a lot going on there IMO.

I agree it is a mess 100%. It has cam bolt in axle. The dealership put them in during my last alignment job. There is correction bracket on the control arms, but yes I believe they are stock control arms. Stock ball joints as well (best I can tell). In your opinion, where do I start to clean up this mess?

Thanks for the help.
