Default 2012 performance with 37's?

Hey guys...I just ordered my flat fenders and stubby front bumper for my 2012 Rubi Unlimited. 2.5 Teraflex is in the garage. Only thing left short term is wheels and tires. Dreaming of 37's. Anyone done this yet and how is performance on the 4.10's or other gears?

Thanks.

I have 37" Procomp Xtremes on my 2012 JKU. I also have a 4.5 AEV lift, with a total additional of 1000 pounds counting lift and tires (4600 going in, 5600 coming out). I chose 5.13s (G2), and I think it's a great combination...my mileage is worse, but the response is pretty close to stock. Some say that you don't need 5.13s with the new engine/gears, but I have NO regrets in going with this combination.

Is that the manual or auto you are running? I am trying to figure out if I can swing 4.88's on a manual '12 with 37's, or if I should just go with 5.13's

Guess that you're planning on no off-roading with this setup?

I have an auto. On the TJs, conventional wisdom was that taller gears worked OK for a manual...don't know how that translates to the 2012 JK. On mine (37s & 5.13s & A580), I turn ~2350 at 60 and 2850 at 70, which is fine for me. I think this engine likes to rev a little higher than the 3.8 anyway.

Great looking rig!
Did you need new front and rear driveshafts? How did you deal with the interference between the exhaust crossover and drive shaft? Did you do anything to strengthen your front axle?

Curious because it's the same set up I have in mind for my 2012 when it arrives.
Thanks!

Thanx.
I did the AEV 4.5 SC with high steer.
Tom Woods drive shafts both ends.
For the crossover problem, my shop cut about 1 1/4 inches from the driver's side (right before it went into the collector) and added it to the passenger side. That moved it back without changing its length. No interference. Now you can get the Teraflex spacers for that.
I had the shop do sleeves and gussets on the front axle, and chromoly shafts on both ends. Also Teraflex big brakes on the front.
Lots of other stuff (skids, sliders, AEV hood, etc).
I have a list of the whole build if you'd like it...just PM me with your email address and I'll send it along.
