lol....I'm sayin'....my first Jeep was a Willys that didn't even have brakes....we used it for deer hunting.....now the Rubi's are fully loaded....even with electronic temp control.....to each his own....I would hate to bury one of those in a good mud hole or do a deep water crossing....even though I would have loved to had the factory lockers and Rubi gears just so I don't have to do them later......I couldn't justify buying the Rubi.....but the '12's are awesome!!!

I'm so glad that I waited that last few months to get the 2012 vs the 2011 . . .

I was seriously looking around since April 2011 but held off until November to buy my first Jeep.

Big difference in engines . . .


There is very little that I dislike about my 2012; my biggest issue is the black rear window wiper motor blocking the view . . . but oh well, I'll get over it!

I can't say enough about how happy I am overall with my Jeep!

I like the 2012 colors. Great Selection. Finally got some sun today so I could see the real Black Forest Green.

Just got our 12 Rubicon two weeks ago, traded 09 Sahara, love the extra power gas mileage about the same , 18.5 mpg. Auto trans with padel shifter , played in the snow but cant wait for the trail.

When I got my YJ, I took flack because it didn't have round headlights....lol....Wranglers Rock! Who cares what year or model. Every evolution of the jeep has been accused of diluting the heritage of the line. I have had CJ, YJ, TJ, and 2 JK's and loved every one of them. Jeep has done a great job of improving the product. Everyone have a very merry Christmas!

I have an 08 Unlimited. I test drove the 12 Rubicon Unlimited a few times. With my 33's, and 4.88 gears I didn't notice a huge difference until passing on the Highway. That being said, if I was in the market now, there is no doubt I would go with the new 3.6 over the 3.8.

I'm holding on to my 08, but I really don't see why someone would choose a mothballed engine platform, unless your getting into a $5000 difference between the '11 and '12.

Have to tell you that's actually one thing I was disappointed with on the 2012's- when I finally made the decision to place my order, I had planned on ordering Mango Tango. Then I learned it wasn't offered on the 2012. Splitting hairs, I know- but all I can do is read these threads while I wait for mine & be jealous......
