Don't think heated mirrors are a sign of weakness. I mean, they didn't have airbags or antilock brakes 60 years ago....should we all drive that type just to stay "rugged"? Progress should not be confused with softness.

I'd say if you can still drive the thing off of a road and pretty much tackle any terrain, regardless of how comfortable you are, you aren't in a "soft" vehicle.

Fair enough I just think sahara models should have the luxury and keep the rubicon model with a hose out interior and everything rugged with a good reliable powertrain and everything else

I have no doubt I just really don't want jeep to get too much more comfortable if they can upgrade on the powertrain and overal build in the wrangler I'm all for it but if there gonna continue adding more stuff that appeal to soccer moms I would prob lose a bit of interest

Just got my rubicon yesterday,8week wait... no dislikes so far, 102miles and the average mpg so far is 18.5 all city not babying it but doing a proper break in. I had a 2008 x unlimited and its definitely an improvement motor and interior wise. I have a soft on the 2012 as well and the in my opinion thats my favorite improvent, (I put the top on and off alot with the old one) the top is like spring loaded or something which helps even more but there is now NO more folding the plastic up and under the roof railing, now you just unlatch, lift, and fold the material back. Same with putting it back up SO much faster than it used to be WAY better design.
First thing I did when I got it was take the top off, then came home and put it back on and drenched it with the hose, no leaks what so ever!!!

The 12 is evolving. It's still as rugged, it's more comfortable, and who cares if it has leather and heated mirrors. My unlimited Rubicon still has front and rear lockers, all the same off road goodies as my 10 Rubicon, and takes me where I want to go on road and off. If I get mud on my heated, power mirrors, I get out and wipe them off. Guess what...the leather seats clean up easy as well....and weather tech mats keep the carpet clean....
