Have had my 2012 Rubicon almost a week and a half. Woohoo! Took two months from the time I ordered it but worth the wait. Still have a good feeling every time I get in it. Only dislike. Amazon shipping department. Ordered a bunch of stuff for my Jeep through them. Every single item missing parts or damaged. Learned my lesson about them quick.

What's the issue with the gas mileage everyone's talking about? I thought the Pentastar 3.6L with it's VVT cams, smaller capacity, and slick 5spd auto was supposed to nail the old 3.8L iron block, pushrod dinasour in every way.

My '09 2door 6-speed gets 19MPG city/24MPG hwy; are the 2012's getting less than this?

Hadn't really paid attention to the mileage until this week. I pulled a 5x14 flatbed trailer, about 2000 lbs, from Virginia to Oklahoma and averaged anywhere from 12.2 to 13 MPG on each tank. Seemed pretty good to me as my 2009 normally got 12 MPG all the time, and would drop to 9-10 with the same trailer.

I'll see how it does going back to virginia, unloaded, here in another week.

I have been nothing short of amazed at the power difference from my 2009. I had regeared the 2009 to 4.88's and the 2012 is still better off stock.

bought mine on the 19th, traded in a 2000 4cyl TJ... the 2012 is like driving a rocket ship compared to the TJ. My only complaint so far is that its too quiet when I'm on the highway. I can now hear the voices in my head telling me to spend a ton of money modding.

I think the interior is ugly. Especially when its two tone. Looks like somthing that would be in a Grand Cherokee, too sally for a wrangler.

I'm a month in with my 4dr rubi, 1400 miles and loving it!!! Now that the engine is broken it a bit I notice quite a bit more pep from the engine and 5spd trans. I can get 23+mpg if I baby it around 65, but the way I typically drive (combo of city and highway) I average 18 mpg with stock suspension and tires. I do have the 730n nav, it's overpriced but it works well, i don't hate it. Really not much to dislike, but as others have said, there are a few quirks with certain mods, Like the exhaust, evap, and I changed my front bumper and had to relo a vacuum pump that wasn't there on my friend's 07.

Bottom line, Jeep made improvements. Some people may disagree based on taste or opinion, but no quality was lost, and the changes made were intended to better the Jeep, and I think they did.

This is my 1st JKU and im liking it. It does feel luxurious compared to my CJ7. One question do yall have to slam the crap out of the doors to shut it properly? It feels like it really air tight. Is this something im just going to have to get used to?
