2012 JK Sport for a 2007 X Unlimited? Am I nuts?
So, I bought my 2012 JK Sport 2 door about......1000 miles ago. Over the course of the past month or so, I'm finding the 2 door to be rather inconvenient. It's my DD, so I spend 90% of the time on the pavement, 10% on the trails.
I have a pretty active lifestyle, with a 10 year old daughter who's in to all kinds of sports and sh!t. I also enjoy evenings out with friends and family, often leaving us taking my girlfriends Subaru, as I find asking adults to haul themselves in and out of the 2 door to be a pain.
Last weekend, I took my sister and brother in law on the trail ride with us, and had to have my girlfriend sit in the back as my brother in law is just....not small enough.
So I start looking around today and find a nice, 2007 X Unlimited 4 door for sale. It has around 60K on it, but does come with some aftermarket tires and rims...33's or 35's. If the dealer can work with his price, I could walk out with a "new" X, carrying about the same debt I have now. Only difference is, the new Jeep will be 5 years older and have nearly 59,000 more miles.
so I ask, am I nuts?

Well, I think the process may be coming to fruition. I've located a 2007 that may become my new jeep. As much as I love my 2012 2-door, I'm really needing the extra room. It's bittersweet, as the it looks like I'll leave the dealership owing no more or less then I do now, but with a vehicle thats 5 years old.
Nuts? I may be. But the extra room will be much appreciated.
Here's the potential new one:

X2... Sounds like a bad deal, you are trading in for a weaker engine, parts with more wear and tear and an expired warranty, with the same dept load...seems like a no brainer.
