when can u usually order a new jeep before the new year??? im hoping june or july at latest so i have it by august!!! does anyone know roughly??

When you pre-order a vehicle, how can you negotiate a good price? I bought my '10 at the end of the year and bought it for thousands below invoice because the dealerships had a ton of inventory and the '11s were coming. Seems like when pre-ordering you would have no leverage?

Picked up my '09 in Aug of '08, think it was one of the first 09's in the province. I paid dealer cost for it

I would agree you would have little leverage however I still believe you can get 1% under invoice if a member of tread lightly or some have corporate affiliate prices though I'm not sure what that would be. Any way you shake it 1% under invoice is pretty darn good. That is my high mark I will pay and anything under that would be icing on the cake. My money is in my pocket waiting for the June order banks to open. I doubt there will be any incentives on a new 2012, only the existing dealer inventory of 2011's.

you can leverage on orders.. order your jeep at the end of the month.. sales guys get some "points" for having deposits and orders in queue for that month...

also pick a time when car sales are usually slow.. like mid january through mid february.. dealers are looking to gert some traffic in their showrooms in usually dismal weather.. and when people are realizing the horrors of the christmas credit-card bills.....

by the time march 1 comes around tax refunds are coming in, people are thinking spring and car sales pick up...

if the rumors for a drivetrain design come to fruition for the 2012 wrangler then likely pre-ordering will not net you much negotiating.. however as other's pointed out you can get the tread lightly discount... but typically new model designs sell at a premium...
