This is interesting. Never heard of it, but can understand why.

They might want to ensure the vehicle is 100% before it leaves with the customer to prevent any early-ownership issues that may have been caused by the factory or transport.

I just ordered my 2012 JKU Rubicon, Flame Red, dual tops, auto, max tow package, leather heated seats, auto temp, matching hard top on 5/24 just got VON from dealer today zero emails on order from Jeep yet. How long did it take everyone to get the VIN again. Katskin was closed to order in the order system so couldn't get it easy mod later. Jeep confirmed it was getting built for sure. I am glad as the Flame Red doesn't appear to be made next year.

Wow I thought orders for 2012 closed on 5/17? I had to call to get the vin it was not provided in my 1st email. I still havent received my 2nd email. Order was placed on 5/15 1st email 2 days after.

Wow. That is the latest 2012 I've heard anyone order, for sure. You might single-handedly keep the 2012 order thread open a few weeks longer!
