Haha yea... maybe they'll let me pull the engine

Since it's brand new it probably won't be total but the damage is substantial I'm sure. Really bad night to have a vehicle outside:

So much for getting the 2012 I've been patiently waiting for since June.

Mine is hopefully sitting in that same railyard in Council Bluffs in about a week or so. Sad to hear about yours. Hopefully the weather is better when mine gets there.

TOTALLED!!!!

Oh my gosh. Talked to the dealer who spoke with the insurance rep. Neither the dealer nor myself will ever see it -- it's scrap. Wow. From Hail.

Some lucky salvage yard will get a lot of un-used components. Engine, drivetrain, axles, etc.

Chrysler is already building a new one for me apparently they expedite when something like this happens. Should be less than 2 months. Maybe as quick as 1 month.

Sorry to hear that really does suck.
HOWEVER...everything happens for a reason and you were not supose to have that particular Jeep.
It would have been really bad had you taken delivery and the storm hit that evening.....

I hope like you say Jeep expidites and fast tracks the Jeep that is destine for you.

Sorry to hear that. What a letdown I'm sure! Once you get your 2012 I'm sure you will be able to forget about the wait.

Whenever there is damage in shipping it's outside of Chryslers hands. It will always be totaled unless it's a minor scratch. That's part of the reason destination costs are so high. Several railcars derailed in Erie, PA about 10 years ago. I think about 100 Camaros and Firebirds went to the scrapper. I read that Volvo lost 1500 cars just last year on a ship. Sorry to hear about your Jeep, atleast you are more likely to get one with less bugs now.
