2011 Wrangler changes announced, by Allpar.com

Oh my God are you telling me the Jeep now has
A non metal dash
Coil springs instead of leaf springs
auto lockers
electronic swaybar disco...
This has happened before and it will happen again. As long as it remains a capable off road vehicle, who cares if the mall crawlers can keep their butts warm and plug in their phone?
The truth is, making the JK more appealing to families might be what saves it.

might save me
I guess maybe i'm in the minority, but in truth, these changes may just be what puts an '11 JKU in our driveway. With all of the competition out there for all vehicles, seems the "luxuries" or "junk" as some call it are becoming the norm. So much so that the perception is now that "we must have...".
I've been on this forum since it started, sans JKU. I love the wrangler, the capabilities and all the rest. I knew when the Unlimited's came out that it was the answer for a family needing a 4 door. Problem is, we've been stuck in the practical. Now we (I was going to blame just the wife, but I have too) have become accustomed to a warm seat on cold winter mornings-power mirrors to adjust and stay safe from the MD white taggers-tons of storage and all the rest. Most would put us in minivan territory- I say no thanks.
But, feeling a warm heart for her 04 Jeep GC, the wife has been turning her head on the JKU. But maybe this will get her back on track.
Now the rest question is- when do we get to see pics of this new interior and a full write up of the "real" changes. Then I'll have a shot- now just have to see if I need to wait for the diesel?

hehe... this is funny, I bet they also come lowered 2 inches for better braking, turning and parking at malls...
by the way, someone mentioned the clunk issue (not to hijack this thread) but I've done the following and it worked for me on my 2010 Unlimited

Good Luck!

The color matching top????????? White on white, Redrock on Redrock??????
I can see it now, a WHOLE nother crown coming to Jeep. Put the 22's on it a 35 profile tires and a louder radio, curb feelers.....The new Ghetto version is headed our way......
Heated seats, I can buy into that though. Could be handy with the top off......

talk about pissing away R&D money to appease the wrong kind of crowd...The day I roll up to some
Hoo Hah in her wrangler with her LV bag and ugly ass "toy" dog is the day I turn off the paved road for good and head for my man cave where no such atrocities would exist...
she probably wouldn't even wave either...
