Anybody running this setup?

A few of us are trying to determine the difference between the surrounds and if the 2010 top works with the 07-09 surrounds as many the fact/aftermarket tops require the tuck channels.

I have had both jeeps and the channel in the door surround is different for the newer cable top on the 10. It looks to me you would need the new door surrounds also to have a good seal. Now after having both types I really like the new top better. It is easier to and faster to fold back than my 07 was.

 

Do you think the 07-09 surrounds would work if they were on your Jeep with the 2010 top?

Where i'm going is if somebody with a 2010 top & surrounds, swapped out their surrounds for the older ones, would they still work with their 2010 top?

 

I don't think it would work. The cable would not have the channel to sit in along the drip edge of the door surrounds.

 

My 2010 is not compatable with the Mopar sunbonnet . It requires the older door surrounds.
