Question 2009 Rubicon Unlimited / versus the 2008

Does anyone know what the differences are going to be in the 2009 Rubicon Unlimited's versus the 2008?

Are there any intertior or exterior differences? Are there other color options?

I just know the 09's are coming out and am wondering if anyone knows - or has seen them yet to tell if there is anything different?

Thanks!

-Corey

I think the 'power group' is going to be standard on the '09 Rudis'. (pwr winders and locks)

Yep, that's right. The Power group is standard and the base price went up enough to reflect it. They also added the tinted winders into the base Rubi package so if you were plannin' on getting both of those options, then you'll actually save a couple of $, if not, well, you're paying for 'em anyway.

OMG no please no! I hope it is just a nasty rumor that I have to pay for power windows/locks/tinted windows! If it is true I bet they won't force me to get those things if I get half doors, or does it come with a midget to unzip the windows for me?

Not hating on those who like their power stuff, to me, it is just fluff I don't need/want on my jeep! And I wish you could get proper vinyl seats in the rubi too.

Default sheepish apology

O sorry, just caught that the whole post was about the unlimiteds. Since I am not going for an unlimited, this does not concern me, but I still think on principle that you should be given a choice! Don't back down to the man 4 door owners!

You calling me out?!? Lol you are right, I am did make a concession living in East Texas, to A/C. But I agree, that is the way to be real hardcore!

I like the options that give me more capability, not bigger stereos and the like.

Default Thanks for the news...

Thanks vitaman, you must be an insider to get that detailed info. I work for a tier 1 auto mfg and can usually get some scoop, but I struck out. My company has content on the Grand Cherokee and Commander, but nothing on the Wranglers so all of my engineering contacts do not provide any good info. I am happy to hear they are bringing back an orange variant, that baby poo green (rescue me from my diaper) had to go (sorry toad). And the addition of more cargo nets/storage is great. I am tired of all of my kids sh*t rolling around on the seats and floor. Now if I can just get them added to my '08.
