now that we are inching closer to the 2009 jk release date and information should start to come out about any changes. Who is waiting to see what 2009 has to bring before making their jk purchase. I am...... hoping fore a roof design that i feel confident will not leak.

Put me on the waiting for the 2009 list. I'm hoping for a better motor. I'm looking to trade my current daily driver (2000 Eclipse) and don't want to take too big of a hit in MPG. I'm averaging 29 in the Eclipse and would like to see something that averages at least 25. Hopefully a small diesel. But I'm not holding my breath. I may have to keep waiting...

As long as it's a diesel, no problem.

It would be nice to know if there will be changes for the 09... If my ordered JK doesn't arrive soon I might just pull the plug on it, and wait for an 09...

Highly unlikely we'll see a motor change, or even a diesel option.

i am happy to here that some jk members find their roof has performed great, . Just some of the stories on here have me waiting in the wings. Wishing everyone finds a way to get their roof up to 100% for the new year.

Is this an informed opinion or just hoping you don't have buyers remorse for your 2008?

Seriously, I have to reluctantly agree that the odds of a diesel are slim. However there has been some rumblings in the rumor mill of a 4.0L appearing in the '09 MY.
New engine rumor 2009 4.0 V6 non-phoenix

Still not holding my breath though...
