Default 2007 blown motor

Hey my 2007 Wrangler with 78000 miles has just lost the motor. It looks like a plastic piece from the oil pump gave way and it lost oil pressure and now its shot. Oil pan is full of metal shavings Has anybody else have this problem? I regularly maintain it with 3000 mile oil changes and don't off road it ( I guess that didnt matter). Im going to replace it with a jasper 3 yr 36000 warranty block. Just looking for any thoughts. thanks
Dave

If you google search for "jeep take off parts for sale" you can find engines pretty cheap. I think I saw a 3.6 on one when I was looking for something else for like 1800 bucks. I remember it having low miles because the previous owner had that hemi swap done. just a thought.

What he ^^^^ wrote. You might call AEV or Burnsville direct and see if they have something to help you out. Screamin' Lizard out of the Dallas area used to do Hemi swaps, too. Not sure if they still do.

damn sorry to hear this, you might also try the local junkyards, check for totalled jeeps that had all cabin/rear dmg but still have good engines, scrap is always cheaper then new, if you luck out you find one that fell off a car carrier ass first and doesnt have a single mile on the motor or one that got t boned driving off the lot with under a mile on it!

itld also be a good excuse to upgrade to a diesel/hemi/ls
