I hjave the 2dr and love it.......and something to think about if you will be getting soft doors you will pay twice as much. I also get just a little better gas mileage than my 4dr counterparts.
The best reason to own a 2dr...........NOBODY SAYS IT LOOKS LIKE A HUMMER..

My kids are grown and so I wanted the classic jeep 2 door. This is my second jeep so I knew what to expect. The back seat will rarely be used and with it flipped forward there is plunty of room for "stuff". If I had kids or having kids was in the future life of the jeep then I would without doubt get the 4 door.

I debated about the 2 door vs 4 door. I went with the 2 door. I like the looks of the 2 door over the 4 door. I went from a Grand Cherokee - so I was use to more room, but didn't really use it - 2 people fit in the back seat(in my 3 years of owning my Grand - I had people in the back maybe 4 times). We have a pop up camper - so thats not an issue. Probably the biggest reason was the extra cost - I just couldn't justify it. This is what I got and love it.

I just got rid of a 2 door from 'another manufacturer' (hint...rhymes with 'shimmy').
I love having the 4 door, gives me some flexibility, more load room and a longer wheelbase for the badly heaved roads up in the north.
Plus, I remember my old man having to ditch his jeep (and his '72 Vette) when I was a kid, because he needed a larger 'family-friendly' vehicle.
That said, the 2dr is a great vehicle. Enjoy!
