Default 2 door hard top removal ?

Hello fellow Jeepers , just brought home my 2013 Rubicon last Wednesday and needless to say I LOVE IT ! ! ! My question is how hard is it to remove to the 3rd or back end of the 3 piece hard top ? I had the front 2 panels off all last weekend and that was easy but I'm a little nervous about the rear panel, how heavy is it and is it something that you'd want to remove for a day ?

It's very simple. There are 6 torx screws along the sides and two fasteners in the sound bar that need to be removed. Also the rear wiper cable needs to be unplugged. It's not too heavy but its awkward to carry. It's a lot easier if you have someone helping...

It is rather easy to do, I imagine it is rather similar to our hard top ('08), we removed the top the first day. I think the most it weighs is around 150 pounds. My wife who is of small stature and not very strong got on one side and I got on the other, we basically slid it back onto a rolling table that was large enough to hold the whole top.
All you gotta do is remove the six screws (three on each side) with a torx bit, (you will need to go and purchase a set of torx bits for your Jeep, we realized this from the get go, Sears has a set of 'socket' style torx bits of all sizes you will need). Then (and this is very important) unplug the window wiper harness connection.
just lift it off and set it somewhere.
Just last week we attached four tie down straps on the rafters of our garage, they are hanging so that they hook to the four corners of the top, now all we gotta do is slightly lift up each corner and hook each strap hook up under the lip of the top, then we evenly ratchet the straps up until the top clears the spare tire, and then just drive the Jeep out from under it.
There are garage lift kits manufactured at several off road retail stores, just look around, you will find them.
I am going to design and install my own because I have a small electric winch that I am going to mount on my wall, and with the use of several pulleys I will be able to remove the top within seconds.
Hope this helps.

I like that Tiedown idea, sounds easier than building a winch system

Screw building a winch. Harken hoister, $125, quick one person removal and you're a happy jeep owner.
