2 door or 4 door

Patty11190- do you camp? With the JKU and seats folded there's 86 cubic feet of room. I was in the desert with 70+ mph gusts that took my tent down, but I was able to sleep in the jeep. Tent was flat but rebar for stakes kept it in place. Both models function so it really depends on what you do.

I look at it this way. I'd rather buy a JKU to start with (am currently single and kidless) and spend my time and money building that up. Then start with a 2 door, only to get a wife/kids and have to sell the 2 door for a 4dr due to a lack of space.
Really it's personal preference. You can make the 4dr into a very capable machine. And as far as I'm concerned, space is something that you either have and don't need, or need and don't have. I'm pretty liberal with what I pack when I camp/wheel or do road trips... but then I can afford to be with all the space back there.

This topic has been debated and the horse is dead if you want to beat it more we can do that. Space is a BS reason you can always get a roof rack or a hitch basket. If like getting high centered get a 4 door and I'll clear the obstacle and winch you over it.

I prefer my 2 door mainly because whenever you think of a jeep you think of the 2 door. If I were to get a 4 door for the extra room I'd probably end up getting rid of the rear doors and turning it into a jk-8.

Hi from sweden
I bought the 2 door i wish sometimes I bought the 4 door for the lack of space. But sometimes I am happy with the better turning circle with 2 door.
It is very time consuming to fit all gear in a 2 door.
There are more space under the seats to place stuff under the seats in a unlimited.
The seats in the back are almost better in the 2 door but have less boot space.
Anyway here is my and 3 other big adults in a camping trip and used a hitch thing
