The poll is slightly off from what a factory rep said they were expecting to produce and sell to dealers. Their target is 75% 4 door and 25% 2 door.
It does not look that way by teh vehicles arriving on our lot. They need to step up 4 door production.

I'd get the 4-dr if I could afford the damned thing. It's thousands more in Montreal than the 2-dr. Luckily I have no kids and drive alone most of the time.

We got a 4-door. My wife has been driving a 2002 2-door for the past 4 years. Our kids and I hate climbing in-and-out of the back seat -- unless we have the hard or soft top off. And, I will use my new 4-door Wrangler Unlimited to haul people around some while at work. So, we went with the 4-door.
We got it yesterday and absolutely love it.

Some excellent posts on here. However I have been 4 wheeling most all of my adult life, I have had every brand of four wheel drive. My favotite until 2004 was my Jeep Scrambler. For thos of you who think the JK 4 dr is too long, sorry, NOT!!!!!! I would not trade in a long wheel base Jeep for a short wheell base anyday. For the record though the new JK Unlimited4 dr. is 12" longer than my 2004 Unlimited and I wheel 4 and 4.5 rated trails in Moab open open.
For the newbies open open means no Lockers. oooooooooo I can't wait to get my 4 dr rubi!!!!!!!!!! Keep On Jeepin and Waving!!!!!! Papabear

Like the look of both...
favorite looks are 2 dr w/ soft top up & 4 dr w/o top
I went with a Wrangler Sahara (2dr), didn't see a need for the added expense

Was leaning towards 4 untill I drove the 2 & I have kids
Hello All,
Read if your unsure and have a family.
I have kids and a wife, based on these posts I was convinced on the 4 door and didn't even give the 2 door a look with the exception of a outside walk arround. I used to own a YJ Sahara and knew the rear was tight and trunk VERY small. My sales rep insisted I sit inside the 2 door anyway and take it for a spin. I was pleasantly surprised on how much bigger it felt and is than all the previous generations including the TJ's. I think it has more room than last years unlimited LWB TJ. Now I am asking myself, If a Civic, Accord, Altima, or Mini Cooper is acceptable (I am swaping my Civic for the JK) as a second family car why wouldn't the new Jk be?
So to make this harder on all of you, don't do what I initially did and head straight for the 4 door without checking out the two door aswell. It is not the same as before and its larger size wil be enough for most of you just needing that little bit more. If I recall, on most forums I would often read, If the wrangle was "just a bit larger" I would buy it in place of my car. Well now it is.
So once again, I am now torn between the "two door(s)" - no pun intneded.
regards
Max

I went with the 4dr just so I could have one more idiot say "looks like a little hummer" Actually kids are growing and generally there is no room behind my seat (6'4") but the 4 dr helps

I said a couple of years ago if Jeep would build a 4 door Wrangler with 5 seat belts (wife and 3 kids) I would buy one - and I did. Way more space than I expected and comfortable ride too.
