1000 hp corvette loses to a unlimited rubicon.....evo coil overs????
When they say its a Jeep thing you wouldnt understand, I NOW UNDERSTAND. I finally finsihed my Corvette build after 1.5 years and over 35k and drove it for a week. I dropped the car off this weekend at the shop to have it parted out. Its crazy but I would much rather be in the Jeep!!!!!!!!!! Driving 890lbs ft of Torque at 2800 rpm is unbelievable but theres just something about the Jeep. I sold my 2010 Rubicon yesterday, and have a 2011 loaded Rubicon coming in on the 25th.
I was set on the AEV 4.5" premium as soon as I got done with the Vette. Now that I will have some extra dough, I am looking at the front double throw down coil overs but will probably wait to do the rear. I would like to to Moab and get involved in the Jeep lifestyle, but my immediate goal is superior on road ride quality. The build will center around 38x15.5" Nitto Mud grapplers. My question is, whats involved with parts an cost with the hybrid system I've seen some post on? I will eventually do the rear, but have a lot more I want to do before that. I am thinking the front throwdown and then the plush coils with King 2.5's for the rear. I dont know if this will clear 38's though. I thought I would ask here before I called ORE. I still cant figure out the JK suspension, ecspecially with Evo Links? I am trying to figure out what I would need to do it right minues the rear coil overs. I cant belive how much I already miss my Rubicon after 1 day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You should be thinking about axles too. With that size of tire you are going to want some D60's and hydro steering. There is a pretty good market for used rubi's so that should help with those costs.
ORE is going to be the best place to find out about their double throw down system, I haven't seen many on this forum with it. Sounds like a sweet build though. Good luck with it and post up some photos.

I'm the same exact way man.. I had a Z06 completed tricked out with a full on H/C package on it, LT's, full exhaust - you name it, it was done... Sounded like a dragster when just sitting there.. I loved that car but the Jeep is just so much more fun, and you can take the whole family with you.. At times I miss the vette, but can't imagine never having a Jeep... Actually in the process of putting some ideas together and coming up with the best possible combo for an LS swap in the Jeep.. Best of both worlds!!!!!

IF I were you, I really would do it all the way, and have the best of both worlds,,, Hemi motor, 60's with 5.38's, 6" of suspension lift (whatever way you get there), and a 40" or a 42" tall tire It sounds like your not short of bucks, so have a real nice rig, and give it some juice to motor down the freeway,,, Theres plenty of them in the States for you to look and get ideas, here in Phoenix (COP 4X4), and in Vegas there are shops that'll do them up. I say that would be one sweet ride
