Yeah- that's really insane. Some hitches come with the bolts while others, like the ones got from my dealer, do not. If that's the case-- just cut off the welded nuts and pick some hardware up from...The HARDWARE store.

I emailed them about the hardware and they told me it was a common grade 8 bolt found at any hardware store......apparently not in AK

Just paid, today, almost $400 for AEV rear bumper and spare tire carrier install - and the spare tire carrier is not shimed properly, so it is leaning - duh...

When my back heals up, guess I'll redo it myself.

You got hosed. Took my Arb rear off & put on the Hidden Hitch & put the bumper back on in about 15 mins.

That's not insane. Not doing it yourself is.

Got the factory notch and wiring from a dealership for $60. Took me about 15 min to install both.

Ouch & outrageous!

My dealer quoted me $287 to install 4 rubi takeoff shocks. I declined and did it myself in a few hours, having never done shocks before.

It amazes me to see how much some people pay to have simple things installed. I install/fix almost anything and everything myself. As they say..to each his own I guess..

Wow, I install stuff for friends all the time. All I ask for is a few bucks or a meal in return.
