You are doing well, and you have a good start by even having a Jeep.

I remember how 19 felt, and patience is not easy. But really there is no immediate need to mod your Jeep anyway. Look at the forum writeups to see what you can do cheap.

Otherwise, take it out and drive it. You have a long life ahead to mod this or the next Jeep as your earning power increases over time. Advancing your education/trade skills to increase future revenue should be priority now IMO.

You're doin' good. I know a lot of 19 year olds who can't change the oil in their own car. I did some work on the side (cash only) for money for mods. It still took more than 2 years to get my Jeep to where it is now. I always watch for sales, free shipping and read this forum.

Hell, could be worse, when I was 19, I rebuilt the engine for my CRX in the living room of my apartment. Being a broke 19 year old will teach you some ingenuity and how to do it yourself.

Here's another way to think about it. I'm a couple weeks form haivng my JK for 5 years, I've spent about $7800 on mods (far less than many others), but doing the math that comes out to $30 a week. Form that perspective, that really is not bad at all. Save $30 per week and in no time you'll be able to do all sorts of things to it.

The other recommendation is to make a plan as to what you wnat out of it. How are you going to use it and really research what you need ot do and what are the nice to haves. Then prioritize what you plan to do an dbuy, as best as possible, in order that you prioritized things.

Also as others have said, make Craiglsist your best friend, I've found many items on there for far less.
