We do not set the price - we suggest $800.00 there are shops that flat rate it - its up to them to decide the install pricing.

Just wanted to make sure you were aware since you indicated previously $800 should be the top price for install..... assuming you were referring to a authorized RIPP dealer.

The vvt install is a new thing. The straight 5.7L non-vvt install is right around 10 grand.

A little tuning to the 5.7 can gain you way more power then ripp can.

And Ripp, you never answered as to why the 25000$ aev price is always the baseline for hemi costing when there are much cheaper options out there.

25000$ at jeep speed shop will take your blower out behind the barn and have it's way with it.

We have nothing to do with the cost of the AEV swap or what Ian Johnson says - we didn't realize we are the spokesmen for V8 swaps - Take that issue up with them... We made sure the info on our stuff was correct... and.... our product produced as advertised - and it did.

How many V8 swapped JK's have you seen screaming on the DYNO by independent or V8 swap shops? - makes you think.... AND thats the point, the V8 swaps ECU's are locked by the perspective swapping shop - YOU as an individual do not have the luxury of going to your local dyno shop and dialing in more power... YOU can only go with the power you are given.

With our kit you are able to go to any of the 100's of Diablo Sport tuners and dial in the tune to your needs. Although many clients have tested their kits independently and found our advertised power for themselves.

Wait let me get this correct

Hemi - 214 hp 251 Torq $25,000+ installed

RIPP - 223 hp 227 Torq $6000-$7000 installed

by my numbers RIPP is the only way to go??
am I missing something here? you only get 214 HP out of a 5.7L??? why would you spend 25 grand on an extra 12 hp? something is wrong with your numbers or our 3.8's must only have like 90hp instead of the advertised 202hp

The manufacturers post flywheel HP numbers and the numbers from Xtreme are rear wheel HP numbers you cannoy compare the two.

A supercharger system has 2 advantages install time and price point.

A V8 swap is a big undertaking, I helped a buddy swap in a 6L into his TJ last winter and his jeep was down for months with us working evenings and weekends (no handy AEV Hemi swap kit) and waiting for shipments. At the end of the day it turned out great for about $12k (no shop time).

We finished the Ripp install in my jeep in a day about 10man hours (including redoing the injectors twice because we forgot the retaining clips......a real dumbass moment). The guys from Ripp are helping me with the tune now getting it dailed in. So shipped I spent just over $5k for mine.....saved the cost of a new bolt in dana60 axle.
