Ever since I bought my JK I've told my wife when the 3.8 dies, I'm dropping a hemi in. I'm at 85K miles now, so I'm getting there.

But we saw the show the other day and I gotta tell ya, I think I'm leaning more towards the RIPP now. Probably not for this engine. I've got the oil burn issue (About a quart every 1200 miles), and I don't know how much this particular engine will put up with.

But when this one dies, I'm thinking my JK is very likely to see a new 3.8 with RIPP SC.

Good work guys!

Most will go SC only and it should be plenty - Headers are for guys with huge axles and tow a lot... (in our honest opinion)

But many seem to be going both these days - based on cost...

Do you have a HP/Torque rating with headers and without?

Ripp,

I second that..What are Hp/ torque ratings ... Do the headers give it a little more low end torque for pulling power for 1599 I would hope so...very intersted in them

RIPP completed 56k miles on the original test mule - took the engine apart and ran it again - Drove it from NYC to Vegas to Utah to NYC. It was sold to one of the members of this community and as far as we know its still running strong.
