Default XRC8 Winch Plate

My winch will be delivered tomorrow but I don't have a winch plate for it....Can anyone with this winch give me a rough idea on dimensions of the winch plate? I will be making one out of 3/16 steel (is that thick enough?).

Thanks!

3/16" is good, 1/4" is better.

Sorry, no dimensions for you

No worries, I'll see what I can find for 1/4" laying around...

Now that I'm thinking about it, do I need a winch plate? This in the first winch I've owed and I will be installing it on a Bestop Highrock bumper. I'm guessing I can't just bolt it to the bumper in the pre-drilled holes or can I?
