I don't have any photos before I removed the canister from the stock location, but using my computer hacking skills I will illustrate where the canister is placed by the factory.
It was about right here..... EDIT: Not to scale.
Now I can see why I was annoying the hell out of my wife tonight.

Your design and idea ( Evap Canister Relocation kit ) helps make the JK safer for the JK community.
The cost of this kit is minuscule compared to a child or an adults life !
Thank you and Eddie for having a forum that helps the JK community, and the community should commend both of you.

Though some have theorized that the EC has presented a fire danger, I'm not yet subscribing to this theory. As far as I'm concerned, the primary reason to relocate the EC, is to avoid damaging it on rocks or other trail obstacles. It's a fairly vulnerable plastic box, located in a vulnerable location under the JK.

AK took us on a "trail" this last weekend that was obviously not well used. It was quite overgrown with woody shrubbery (small baby trees---sorry dojette) Each one we went over scraped the underside pretty bad. I could hear it scraping the underside. I was thinking about that dang canister the entire time. Can't wait to move it.

The EC traps evaporative gas fumes and liquid ( a soaked EC )
Lets theorize a trail overgrown with woody shrubbery with small baby trees
or rocks and other trail obstacles, that knocks a hole or just plain rips
the EC off the vehicle while you are moving forward thur the brush and then
having to stop to backup, over the soaked in fuel obstacles.
Hello catalytic converter, you know what sets my a$$ on fire, a flame about three feet high. LOL

Just spoke with a mechanic friend yesterday about this whole scenario, he said there have been problems with cars doing this for a few years, that had to be modded due to the fact that the chassi (sp) creates a wind tunnel effect and can syphon fumes/etc. out.
Not a pretty picture. :(
