Default Who's having trouble wheeling in the deep white stuff?

I decided to try some trails behind the house today quickly realizing that the combination of 10 inches of wet snow with ice underneath was too much for the jeep to handle. It only took about 5 seconds to realize I wasnt even going to make it up the first hill on the trail. I decided to turn around and head back to the garage before I made matters worse It wasn't too bad until it rained on top of the snow and turned it from powder to chunky ice. Anybody else having trouble getting around on the trails?

Did you turn ESP off? I had the same issue last Saturday in 18 inches where I couldn't get up the hill to get out of my street and realized that was only because my ESP was still on and stopped me dead in my tracks. Once I turned off ESP I was on my way, no problem.

the problem was lack of traction due to the ice plus the incline...ESP wasnt the issue, had it in 4 low.

There is one possible solution to your problem...and that would be...tire chains!!!

They're still not 100% gaurenteed however, they work a hell of a lot better than having only the rubber on the tires to work with!!!

I use my chains all the time on my Jeep and I'm riding on BFG m/t's.

Trust me, the chains kick ass, along with the 4WD!!!

Not always... On the trip yesterday in the North Georgia mountains where we got some snow/ice I was the only one with lockers minus one JK Rubi. We were both sliding around a lot more than those with factory LSD and opens. The lockers are not an instant positive in Snow/Ice and can hamper.

Never got stuck or had a problem BUT it was interesting in some spots.

It was that damn mud hiding under the ice that got me
