I noticed the US JK speedo goes to 100mph (160km/h) while the Canadian speedos go to 180...

When the JK was first released, Car & Driver did an article on one (an Unlimited Rubicon) and wrote that JKs have a limiter at 98 MPH... obviously not!

I agree with Car & Driver. That's what I have, and it is rev-limited at 98-100ish.
For all the Poo-Poo'ers - I'd say it was surprisingly stable and in control for a truck like vehicle. The size of yours may vary, but I'd drive mine right up to 120 in ideal conditions. Get a set.

I like how the more you read this thread everyones "highest speed claim" gets higher and higher.....

Anyways I agree with this statement:

A good friend of mine, his wife was involved in an accident just last Saturday night. She was t-boned by two kids racing their parents car. They are taking her off life support today leaving three little kids with no mother. I'm not saying don't go out and take risks having fun, I know I do all the time. Just don't involve others in your risk taking ventures unless they want to be involved.
I am not a do-gooder by any sense of the word, trust me, and yes going fast is fun, a lot of fun.....
By all means drive as fast as you want but when you put other innocent drivers, passengers, and pedestrians in danger that is when it becomes stupid.
Especially with a passenger and passing other cars on the road at night while using a camera phone

I'll stick to the speed limit and chill. No place I need to get to in a hurry.

Yeah, I had my day in court too!
It wasn't pretty and I still have a big block '71 'vette.

I'll never forget the judge saying "son, do you realize you were exceeding the posted speed limit by over 130 miles per hour!"

I did hit 77mph in the Jeep on 35s today.
