I see a few non-Rubi's sporting 37s on here. Anybody running into issues? Or have y'all done some extra's to help.

A lot of folks say its dumb to do 37s on a D30 but I also here a lot of it is how smart you are while wheeling.

I'm easy with the skinny, and I broke the ring and pinion in my 30 twice, but I was geared low at 5.13s. I upgraded and built a custom 44 with 35 spline shafts when I moved up to 37s, and my next step is 40s.

I usually idle in 2nd gear in 4Low through the terrain I'm in. If and when I break the 30, a 44 will be going in for sure.

Your spot on about how smart you are while wheeling , I've seen guys blow out 60 rears due to wheelin hard ! My philosophy is this , Why fix whats not broke ?? Im sorry but things can break regardless of what size tires you run or beefed up axles you may have ! Usually the guys that have beefed up rigs out of the gate, tend to be over confident and usually tend to break stuff . Knowing that I have a d30 up front kinda keeps me in check . Now with that said for the time being ill run my d30 till it fails then up grd to a built 44 .

I ran one of the few sets of Richmond gear 5:38's in my Dana 30 with 37's.
Never had a problem but I was smart with it. I twisted the splines on one side but never broke anything.
It's hit or miss....
Never spent much on my 30, just saved all my pennies for my PR 44 .

Has anyone beefed up their pitman arm with 37's. I just got my jeep out of the shop because I had death wobble and the garage said my pitman arm was bent.
