You guys have got me concerned now… I’m installing a 4 in Full Traction Long arm Lift on my 2012 JKUR currently and getting ready to mount up my 37” BFG KM2’s. Initially I had orderd the AEV Pintlers to go on my rig… however the guys at Northridge 4x4 informed me that the pintler/tire combo would scrub the lower control arms . So I opted for a set of 17.9 ATX Artillery’s with 4.5” of backspacing….. Is this going to be enough to clear my control arms? I don’t want to mount them up and find out I still don’t have enough backspacing, and then not be able to return my new rims b/c they had been mounted already.

Can anyone confirm that 4.5” of backspacing in enough clearance for my Full Traction Long Arm lift?? Thanks

Luke

I can't confirm it 100% but I think you'll be just fine with 4.5" of BS

I have AEV pintlers and 37 KM2s. Also have adjustable teraflex arms and 12" travel shocks. Tires barely rub frame and swaybar at full lock and stuff. Only way I can tell is because it rubs off some paint.

thanks for the heads up guys. I'll be posting pictures of the new setup soon. Hope to install it in a couple days next weekend. I'm driving it down to my dad's shop in AL so i can utilize his hydraulic lift to make it easier to cut/grind off the factory control arm mounts. then i'll get my 37" KM2's mounted.....I can't wait!

If you are concerned about the rub, you can always adjust the steering stops on the back of the knuckle.
