Who needs big tires and a lift to look cool?

Hi
Iam more for the military look of the wrangler, so I dont need so much
I use my more for overlanding and as birdphotography vehicle.
I wanted 33" but it probably needs a lift, wider fenders to cover them, reinforce the tailgate, buy AEV procal, thats maybe 1500 us dollars more. And petrol here in Europe is twice what You in US, so smaller tire is great
I see many use 33" without lift, it looks offen cramped and I think it will hit when loaded of 4-5 people and camping gear in terrain or flexed, but I have not tried it with 33" so I dont know.
I have only 31.8 " wheels and no lift. Black Forest green, 2012 Sahara. I would rather have it in flat military green color.
A cheap way is to add 265/70/17 (31.8") aggresive thread pattern and a rim of 4.5 in backspacing, the wheel with the aggressive pattern will go little past the fenders and look cool. Looks better than my stock 32.1" 255/70/18 Sahara wheels. A major important thing is to have flat black rims, so much cooler
If You look at Jeep J8 Light Patrol Vehicle it only has 245/70R17 and it looks cool.
This is a JEEP for me
Some with 265/70/17 cooper st maxx studded and Black Rock rims (winther tire), other painted black Sahara stock.

Mine as is sits right now. I have maybe 300 into it at the moment (broke college kid). It won't stay like this for long, 33's, 2in AEV spacer kit, Gen II snorkel and black pintlers are in the works.

I guess I will throw up the first picture of a non-lifted with 33" tires. I do want a 2" lift, but don't have one yet. I drive 100 miles a day round trip to work and love my JK.

Thanks Jr777 - nope, no rubbing issues. However, I don't go creeping over rocks like a lot of these folks here on the site. I think that if you do any kind of serious wheeling, you might have some rub. But not possitive. Oh and no lift of any kind.

Is a lift and bigger tires harder on a jeep than banging axels and stuff on rocks?
And how stock are we talking when we say a stock wrangler is very capable? Street tires = very little traction
