What's with the "Sport" designation?
What exactly does the "Sport" designation mean? Also, "Unlimited"? Do we really need a sticker to say it's a four door? Did Jeep just feel like they had to fill up the space on the front fenders? I debated even leaving the "Wrangler" sticker, but I guess in the absence of a better name badge, it can stay .....for now.

Sport replaced the name "X" for the base model version in 2009 or 2010. Personally I think "Sport" sounds better than X.
As for "Unlimited", I agree with you. It seems silly to give the 4-dr a different designation than the 2-dr.

picking up mine this week. Immediately the side stickers for sport wrangler and unlimited will be removed along with the chrome jeep letters on the front. Live clean (unless you are getting parts for free/discount then sticker away )

I removed the Sport stickers, and left the Wrangler stickers. I like the Sport designation though. I put Rubicon wheels and tires on, and the red shocks, just to make folks think.

Yeah, it just doesn't seem like "Sport" works. Rubicon is cool, and Sahara at least evokes some kind of rugged imagery. Sport is kinda like getting the "L" model. It should probably be a new thread, but what could Jeep call the base model besides "Base" or "Sport"? Denali is taken (which sucks because I kind of like it). There are a wealth of non-trademarked names of places and things that could be used. "Sport" is just laziness by the marketing department. I suppose if it said "Adirondack" I'd end up peeling that off too........

well, they coulda called it a Speedo.
(personally i dont like any of the stickers. mine all came off quickly. i would have removed them regardless of weather they said X, Sport, Sahara, or Rubicon. I simply dont like stickers, I prefer the bare naked look)
