Hi lift mounted tonight!
Tonight I mounted my hi-lift jack & shovel to my stock JK front bumper. I hope the tow hooks are not cast. I welded some 1/2 inch bolts to them & it seems very strong.
Installation was stright forward. Welded a bolt on top of each hook. Slid a big washer & a rubber bumper on, then set the jack on, then more rubber. Drilled a hole in my shovel & slid it on. Tigtened it up. No rattles whatsoever. The shovel is upside down & doubles as a cover for the pins in the jack.
Last weekend I welded up a pair of really nice footpegs that mount in the lower door hinge brackets. (Have the doors off, Mom & I love to put our feet outside on the pegs). I padded them with black radiator hose so we can also set our legs on top comfortably.
At the same time I welded up a mirror I had lying around. It fits into the top hinge bracket on the driver side. Works well.
This is my first Jeep. I'm a bit excited about it!! My buddy has an 00 with an auto. Mine is a 6 speed. We lined them up last Saturday. i beat him by at least 5 lengths. Made me happy. They seem to trash talk the "Van" motor a lot.
Later, Bruce

I have the same CB, I drilled a small whole about the little open in the back and got some metal chain (rubber wrapped so it would make noise) and master locked it to the dash. it wouldnt be too difficult to steal but it looks really tough and no one has stolen it yet. had it about 6 months.

I ordered a Superchips Flashpaq and 2 Riddle diff covers from Stan at Northridge4X4.ca. They came a day early yay. So now I have installed the Superchips Flashpaq and enjoying it. Also my Riddler diff covers are now painted and ready to be installed.
