Thanks looks great

Not sure I am a fan yet of the mesh behind the grille, but I parked next to a Wrangler last weekend that was so close to swallowing a stone it wasn't funny. It was jammed in one of the slots and I am not sure the owner had even seen it yet. I decided something was better than nothing.

Those are the Rugged Ridge inserts. I modified the center one to accommodate the Bolt hood lock. It worked out fine.

Default Added the Tuffy 276-01 inner console security box

pretty happy over all , kind of limited space there if your thinkin of mounting your larger style pistols or what not in there . Just need to angle it correctly But it does work decent at least it seems to . Although i dont understand their reasoning for having holes or openings in the front corners it would seem like a spot to pry it open almost , with a prybar ! As you can see some gorilla tape on edges will prevent any scratches to your squirt gun or even prevent any cuts to your hand if reaching around . The edges are a bit sharp.
It would be fine if your running into a post office or somewhere you cant have a firearm on you or locking a A hand held cb, in my case midland 822 can be tossed in there as well.

i am assuming the holes or for the usb cord or charger cord to come through. thats why i chose the bestop console, no holes or or handle on the lock to pry on. my xds 45 goes everywhere with me and its perfect. but good idea on the gorilla tape, i was trying to figure out a solution for that.

Do these console storage boxes block the usb and 12v outlet in the console or is there a hole or slot so that they can still be used?

Unless as you say its for wires to be routed through i could see a small slit but these are quite large stuck my finger in there when factory lid was closed wide open hole lol . I was told Tuffy makes the best quality product but this kinda makes a thief think heres a good place to start with a screw driver :yup

Not that i leave it long enough for some one to try really , but thought id point it out as a weak spot on Tuffys product here.
A good tight carriage bolt 1/4 x20x 3/4 will close in the hole maybe.
Other than that, it will keep things from easily being swiped ! Because your original lid also still locks as well over that one, but you have to scrap one of the trays attached to factory lid w/ Tuffy one. and a plastic piece that hides the screws that hold lid on. Not with the bestop one, it also looks more roomy for mounting a fire arm holster but no side tray and lock latch dosent seem as rigid in design .IT is almost half the price ! Either one you choose will help keep things from being ripped off while your in walmart or post office id figure.

yes there was a cut out slot inside for 12v & usb
