My MC 2.5" netted 3.5" in the front and 3.25" in the rear on my 2 door, I have a full kit...CAs, TBs, etc.. That's with PSC bumpers and a Warn winch in the front and a 35" hanging off the rear tire carrier. I am still running the factory DS but did have a muffler shop move the exhaust crossover back a couple of inches.

Thanks! I was a little nervous about going to town with the rattle cans on something so new, but thanks to the guidance of so many threads on here, I was fairly confident that it would turn out well. The girlfriend, on the other hand, still thinks I'm insane for doing stuff like this to a brand new vehicle, but the kids love it and that's what really matters, right?

Cut the rock stars apart to fit over the spicer 60 brackets. Then welded back together to fit. These rockstars are for the dynatrac 60s but the spicer 60s have a larger shock bracket than dynatracs

In preparation for a cross country trip I got some Cooper Discoverer ATP 285/70/R17 tires and upgraded my wheels to a the 17x9 MB 352s. I hadn't seen any photos of the wheels anywhere before but they were exactly the look I wanted. Flat and matte black. Finally got the backspacing for the tires to come out slightly and I will say it makes the JK sport look much better than stock. I am so glad to be out of the stock steelies!
Driving from TN. In Kansas now and here are my thoughts:
These tires are awesome. Silent. All I hear is the softtop noise when I'm going highway speeds. Solid tread- I haven't taken them off road yet but they seem capable. I'll be doing Imogene Pass in Ouray in a few days and will try and give an update.
Wheels look great, though the cap over the lugs is pretty crap plastic. Can't tell unless you start poking at them, but I don't know why they added something this cheap when the wheel looks great other than that part.
On switching to 285s on a 2010 jk with 3.73 ratio: it is fine. I had a lot of reservations after looking at gear ratio charts, but I'm very happy with the performance I'm getting so far.
The wheels have set me up for my transition to 35s next. But it will be a while before I have enough for gears, tires and a lift after this $2k upgrade.
Cheers!
