Finally replaced the stock rubber band hood latches with the rugged ridge ones.

Look so much better and will take pressure off of the tuffy good lock that I installed in the summer to minimize hood flutter. Now there's absolutely none.
Also picked up a cheap 4' D handle shovel from Lowes, actually bought two. A squared one for winter and a rounded for the rest of the year.
Took off my Yakima sparetime bike rack for the winter so I strapped the rounded one onto the spare since I'll be going camping next weekend and it might come in handy.

The stretchy straps were $2 a pair at the dollar store.
Yay? Nay? Will probably end up in the trunk after the camping trip.
Originally thought I could jam the shovel under the front tow hooks and toss a bungee on but it's too short. Might get a long tapered handle shovel and stick it on the front bumper anyway.

I've thought about doing the same. Where did you get the box? Online or from someone else?
