So I tried to lighten it up a bit. A high school bud died when two 2x4s came through his window. I wasn't trying to imply real life was anything like a movie - it isn't.

I'm a firm believer in seat belts. I use to take pics in the Air Force, one job was to take accident pics and our big fear was knowing who we were taking shots of. I traded shifts to go on a date, waited and thought I was stood up. The guy I traded shifts with broke the news to me. She wasn't wearing a belt and was ejected in a very survivable accident. Now I don't place anything in gear until everybody is buckled in. But lets go back on topic and on with the show.

I have only been in one accident,"knock on wood" but if I had been wearing my seat belt I would have died. When we rolled the roof collapsed and I ducked into a ball. If I hadn't tucked the roof would have snapped my neck, hence not wearing my seat belt "ever". I'll take my chances.

I've taken far too many pictures were belts saved and no belts, well...one was a Fire Truck that rolled and the roof was collapsed. What was inside was outside, far outside as it rolled. The belted firefighters survived. F1 200mph crashes into walls and the drivers walk away must say something about belts. To each their own.

Lets get back on topic, we all know the horrors of no seatbelts and poorly mounted belongings that become projectiles in accidents. Believe me, I am an injury claim adjuster for an insurance company. I see it day in and day out....
