Two inches past the stock fenders. Use the stock plastic fender fastener holes on the outer edge. That made a huge difference.

I picked up the 3 holder from West Marine. Worked really well and holes for the plate lined right up (with minor shaving). All-in-all - I love the way it works and the look.

Once a fish is on I can see them popping right off the roller.

It is on the rollers pretty securely, but still - just to be safe and because I love the projects, I'll probably make the bracket.
