fixing skid plates
Took off my skid plates today, I'm reinforcing the gas tank skid after I bang out all the dents in it, welding on some additional plate to the front 1/3 of the skid and welding on some 2 x 1/2 channel as sliders to the rear 2/3's. Welded a bridge out of 3/4 x 1/2 stock to protect the bolt heads on the transfer case skid. The tranny skid has held up pretty well though the cross member has taken a beating, have to try and beef that up a little.Sorry no pics in this post will take some when they're done.

Daystar Hood Latch, Daystar Rocker Switch Panel and Teraflex CB Antenna Mount
Couldn't stand the hood flop any longer since removing the plastic air damn below the front bumper. Ordered and installed the Daystar replacement hood latch dogbones ;o) Also ordered and installed the Teraflex CB Antenna Mount. I choose to install it upside down to keep the CB Antenna in a lower profile. I also ordered and installed the Daystar Rocker Switch Panel with two red rocker switches for the windshield lights and CB Radio. One last thing - air'd down the PC Mud Terrains to 28 lbs - they were setting at 35 lbs from when I had them mounted. Man did that make a huge difference in ride quality. It was bumpy as hell and I was a little disapointed...this is much better. More to come ;o)
