I live in long island and we got crushed by hurricane sandy...lost the first floor of my house and both cars. When I met my wife I had a gunmetal tj and last week she said "I think after 10 years it's time...".

Lol. If u just set everything correctly on the welder according to the thickness of the metal you are welding, and watch a few instructional vids from youtube. You could probably get the hang of it pretty quick, its not really that hard. You just gotta start somewhere, get some scrap steel and start welding away. The steel I weld is either 1/8", 3/16" or 1/4", I have welded stick before, but these rock sliders are my 3rd project by using a mig welder. The other two projects were my evo sleeves and gussets and thank you for the compliment, only been mig welding for a couple of months

Can't really say I fab'd it up because it is just a 1/8 plate steel with a 90 degree bend. Had a metal shop bend it for me. I notched the side to fit the Evo d ring mounts. I got the idea from another forum member who cut up a piece of 3 x 5 square tube and used that. I couldn't find one of those in Hawaii so I went this way instead. It worked out well. I then cut four 1 1/4 holes to fit the gen right led lights for reverse lights. Here are some more pictures.
Ordered the evo d ring mounts from Northridge on Black Friday. Seeing this convinced me to pull the bumper and spare today while its nice out. I'll be all ready to go when they get here so I can fab the frame cover. Gotta order up a a plate to cover the spare mount. Thinking river raider since I have their skids. That evo tire mount is on my short list.

Roger!
Its the stock JK housings with Morimoto Mini H1 HID's in 5000K. Got the entire kit (besides the housings) from https://www.theretrofitsource.com
It will require some fabrication to get them into the housings. If its something you want to do and have any questions, let me know.

I have been considering lighting options, and while I don't mind spending the dough on the pre-fabbed LED solutions, I would like to try this first.
