What is the side blinker mod?

Had the wife take me to radio shack for some connectors and had it all done in about 20 mins, and I've never done anything with wiring before. I wasn't sure what to get for connectors, and couldn't find a good answer here so here's what I bought, followed the instructions in the free or low cost mods thread, and electrical taped up for extra weather protection. Worked like a charm. Here's some pics of what I bought (only $2) and how it looked before the grill went back on.

Curious if you did some kind of mod to the Trektop to allow the rear window to stay rolled up. Been trying to figure out a fix for that that doesn't scratch the window. or damage the top.

I had two 2" wide straps with buckles and a bungy type cord with a clip on each end. It was from my jet boat. They are hold-down straps for tubes/toys on a boat. Connect the two together, roll the window up and around the strap, then clip the strap around the rollbars. Works great, and no damage to the top.

EDIT: called "The Tubekeeper" at Overtons
