Well I now understand why u are goin East. One word - Inlaws!! Sounds like it will be fun esp. the wild horses. Last years trip was almost 4000 miles and this year will be a little more than that. Talk 2 u l8r!!
Hey neighbor!! What made you decide to go to OC in Aug?
Hey there, bro. Threefold visit, actually: Really looking forward in meeting other JKers there - and wherever I crossed their paths, so will definitely have fun @ Jeep Week; taking some extra days to visit Assateague Island (viewing & photos of the wild horses swimming, I hope); and will need to visit inlaws in the area.
Enjoy your trip out west, for sure! What a ride it'll be.

About 3 weeks ago I blew up my front drivers side axle shaft off roading, we decided to pull the inner shaft and ujoint and stuff a towel in the diff to keep the diff oil from leaking. Since then ive been driving on it like it is hoping i dont burn up the gears in the front diff. Well today we finally got a superior chromoly shaft in place and i now have 4wd again!!

Serviced both diffs and tranny. Put in 18/60 take off springs. Monroe Reflex shocks. Moabs I painted satin black. 285/70/17 Treadwright Wardens.
I did this by myself so didn't have a "friend to push the Jeep over till" I could get the track bar lined up. Used a spring compressor, hose clamp, and small screw driver to pull track bar over. Worked like a charm.

Finished up weekend with my son getting everything ready for delivery of Tuffy security shelf and mounting brackets by installing some hasps/locks on a couple of .30 cal ammo cans we plan to bolt onto the side shelves prior to installation for extra storage with security. Still waiting on fuel door and Hothead Headliner....then on to the bumpers!

with hardware that does not come with the radio (screws and lock nuts). The clearance between the radio and shifter is close in park, but you get used to it fast and don't wrap your hand around it in park anymore. There is no way a radio will fit there with a manual tranny.
