Plasti-dipped my stock wheels.

I used 4 cans to get 2 coats on 5 wheels. Each can was like 4.95 at the local hardware store.

how tough is that stuff? i made some flares for my xrc fenders and was thinking of spraying them.

I think its a matter of perspective. For the cost I'm happy. After about 1.5 hours of messing around in some dirt mud trees bushes tall grass etc then a bath in the local coin car wash they came out without a scratch. That's not to say it wont happen next time.
